16 Malvino Court

$3,035,000 | 16 Malvino Court, Tiburon, CA 94920

Tucked at the end of a private, gated drive, 16 Malvino Court is a rare Tiburon retreat, set amid mature landscaping and multiple outdoor living areas that deliver true indoor outdoor living. Windows on all sides bring in exceptional natural light and connect every room to the surrounding trees and gardens. Peek a boo views of Richardson Bay appear from both levels of the home and from the outdoor spaces. Loved by the same owner for more than 50 years, this light filled four bedroom home offers an inviting, entertainment friendly floor plan with effortless flow to the flat rear yard. The main level features an eat in kitchen with a professional Wolf range, custom hood, and walk in pantry, along with a formal dining room, living room with wet bar, and a separate family room. Direct access to the two car garage, a powder room, and generous storage complete the level. Architectural details add warmth and character throughout, including hardwood floors, three fireplaces, stained glass windows, vintage front doors, and classic wainscoting. Upstairs, four spacious bedrooms include a primary suite with bay and hillside outlooks, plus a second family room with large picture windows that frame the view. A wraparound deck is ideal for morning coffee or evenings with friends. Outdoors, a built in hot tub sits tucked behind a wall of wisteria for privacy, with approximately 1/2 acre of grounds dotted with mature fruit trees. A permitted storage room with windows on the downslope adds flexibility and future potential. This is the ultimate retreat for daily life and large scale entertaining in one of Tiburon's most desirable settings.

Tiburon

Tiburon is an incorporated town in Marin County, California. It is located on the Tiburon Peninsula, which reaches south into the San Francisco Bay. The smaller city of Belvedere occupies the southwest part of the peninsula and is contiguous with Tiburon. iburon is bordered by Corte Madera to the north and Mill Valley to the west, but is otherwise mostly surrounded by the Bay. Besides Belvedere and Tiburon, much of the peninsula is unincorporated,[10] including portions of the north side and the communities of Strawberry and Paradise Cay. The city's name derives from the Spanish word tiburón, which means "shark". The name was first given to the peninsula on which the city is situated, and probably inspired by the prevalence of locally native leopard sharks in the surrounding waters. Tiburon was formerly the southern terminus of the San Francisco and North Pacific Railroad (subsequently the Northwestern Pacific Railroad), which transported freight for transfer to barges for shipping to cities around San Francisco Bay. It is now a commuter and tourist town, linked by fast ferry services to San Francisco and with a concentration of restaurants and clothes shops. It is the nearest mainland point to Angel Island and a regular ferry service connects to the island.
